Couch to 5K week 1

I made it through the first week of my couch to 5K program.
I was very surprised that the running wasn’t more difficult than it was.  I couldn’t have done that a year ago.  I have a running buddy who has been going with dog Flash.  He loves walks, and he is LOVING the running too.  He of coarse has to take a swim in the river half way through to cool off.  We are both enjoying our time together.


This week Flash has been very sad because we haven’t had a chance to go for our run.  I have been on pager duty for work, and have been very busy.  I have meant to go a few times this week, but have yet to actually make it!  Poor Flash keeps looking at his lonely leash hanging by the door.    I only have about 25 hours left of pager duty, so I will be able to get out again after I am done with that.  I look forward to Week 2 🙂

    I just started that program yesterday! I was also surprised that the running wasn’t harder, although I am definitely sore today. Hopefully it continues to go well. Good luck!

      Good Luck to you too! I have noticed after the first week my hamstrings are super tight…so definitely need to make sure to do extra stretching.
