Welcome to the Flores Halloween Party website. Every year we throw a Halloween Party with a specific theme. Our theme this year is Disney. We had a terrific time and hope everyone who attended our party did as well. While this year’s Halloween Party has already slipped away, we have begun thinking about next year. So stay tuned for more details!

We hope everyone had a wonder time and enjoyed the party. Happy Halloween!!

Skipping 2016

sad-iconIn case you are wondering why you haven’t gotten your invitation to the Flores 2016 Halloween Party, it is because we are taking a break this year.  We have a busy autumn coming up, and need a break from all the work that goes into our Halloween party.  But stay tuned as we get close to next year.

Halloween Party 2015

2015_brianhalloween1This year we did a Whedonverse themed Halloween Party. Basically anything touched by Joss Whedon, including Buffy, Angel, Dr. Horrible, Avengers, etc. Again this year we broke people into different groups for the games. The groups were Avengers, Browncoats, Evil League of Evil, and the Slayers. Browncoats won the games and took home the prize.

Everyone had great costumes, including our neighbor Brian that came as a dinosaur for two reasons, one being the T-Rex from Toy Story as Joss had worked on the first Toy Story movie, and for one of the dinosaurs that Wash had on his dashboard on Serenity.

img_2968Another great costume was our friend Charles who came as a Fox TV executive and handed these cards out to people during the party, and thanking them for their time on the show, but that he was going in a different direction. Joss Whedon fans will appreciate this way too much, I know I did.

So another successful Halloween Party, no theme or ideas for next year have been figured out yet. We will keep you posted.

2015 Theme – Whedonverse

whedonverseMy sister Charity came up with a great idea that Jill and I are going to use for next years Halloween Party theme, the Whedonverse! This means anything from Joss Whedon, including Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Dollhouse, Dr. Horrible, Avengers, Thor, Iron Man, Agents of Shield, etc. The list of possibilities is long, so start thinking as it is never too early to come up with your costume choice for next year. We will be letting our guests know dates, etc as the time approaches. See you in 2015!

Halloween Party 2014

img_2089For our 2014 Halloween Party we chose a Disney theme.  Finding that breaking up everyone into teams from our Harry Potter party, we continued that tradition by breaking up everyone into four teams: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy.

Thanks to Michelle, who came as an awesome Queen of Hearts, one of the best games we had was run by her, Croquet.  We took the croquet mallets and put pink flamingos on them and had people play with the queen.  Making sure not to upset her too much, otherwise it was off with their heads!

This year was a bit more sobering than the previous as we had learned our lesson from the Polyjuice Potion, but we still had a drinking game and some awesome Disney themed recipes out for people to try.
