Breckmeir is a small coastal town in the state of Maine, and is a fairly popular spot for tourists seeking the New England scenery. It is also home to Breckmeir State University, where several thousand students attend to earn their degrees.

Breckmeir also has a history and a legend. Named for Madeline Breckmeir, a founder of the town who was burned to death for apparently being a witch. Legend says she swore that the town would be terrorized and people killed when The One would become The Many, and the fiends of hell would walk again.

Legends of Breckmeir is a role-playing game based off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It starts shortly after the Buffy TV series ended.
